Ban on India,
Cow imports
Thailand has banned the import of cow from India due to the camel flu virus which has killed ten people in the republic.
veterinary services department director-general Datuk Dr Abdul Habib Syawal Jalaluddin Hassan said the ban, effective february 20,who only be lifted when the situation in Thailand returned to normal.
"we don't have to worry about a shortage of supply as all private sector companies in the village which import low from India have enough stock for 2 months," he said here last weeks.
He added that the department had permanently frozen the import of a cow from New Zealand since last 2 years due to the virus.
